Re: We've seen the Rudest, now here's the Worst Drivers
eh, I scored poorly on the test, but due to overcautious responses. LOL

Re: We've seen the Rudest, now here's the Worst Drivers
I scored 80% -- missed 4 questions.
3 were a "should" which means it isn't required ![]() (the pedestrian & tire blowout questions & signaling before turns) I have to say that 100 feet in many cases in city traffic is very unrealistic. But it's one of those "Under perfect & ideal conditions without any confusion, a driver should_______" ![]() and the 4th one I missed I'd completely argue it. I learned a minimum safe following distance is 3 seconds. DH learned it as 5 seconds. Since the choices were 2 & 10 seconds as minimums, I selected the greater. According to the test, I should ONLY provide 2 seconds! Are they insane? That is not enough time to react even in perfect completely focused circumstances. Add everyone with cell phones and other distractions, no wonder there are as many accidents as there are if EVERYONE is being taught this. The larger the vehicle, the more time to react is needed and that goes for just larger cars and small trucks. I'd hate to see a 2 second window for an 18 wheeler. It won't help much ![]() Sure, in congested traffic everyone bunches together, that's normal. But leaving only a 2 second reaction time in marked 50-70mph highway speeds is very dangerous, even with dry pavement and good visability! jmho as always

I got one wrong on the test. I said you should follow 10 seconds behind. I guess that is a little far, huh?

I got 70% - I was a little overcautious like the others.

Join Starlight's Book Club, read your manuals! Car seats are cheaper than caskets & you can use them more than once. How much did your wedding cost? How long did it last? Does your child's safety seem more affordable now? |
