Question Cracks on buckle of Graco Nautilus

I have two Graco nautilus seats and recently noticed some small cracks in the plastic part of the crotch buckle on both of them. I'm not sure if my seats are still safe to use, or what I should do about this. Both seats are around a year old.

This is a photo of one of the cracks. The other seat has several cracks in the same place, but they are smaller.

I'd call Graco, but my guess is there's metal in there that's the actual buckle, and the plastic is there to make it more comfortable on us to use. So the plastic cracking wouldn't scare me too much. But call them to ask, and let us know what they say so we can tell other parents.

Yep, I'd call Graco. Even if it's not a safety risk from the buckle standpoint, I can see how it could be a potential choking hazard or injury hazard (for a child to get cut/scratched). Let us know what they say!

So I called Graco, they confirmed that it is not a safety issue, just cosmetic, but they are sending me out new harnesses for both seats!

I'm quite happy with the service I got, it was a super quick call, and I should have the replacement parts in about a week.

I noticed the buckle on our GN had a crack on it after only a couple months of use.
Glad they took care of it for you and are sending you new harnesses.

I had this issue with mine as well. I had an extra buckle piece so I just swapped them.
