Re: Rudest cities to drive
don't know how accurate that is - from native Texans I've heard Dallas/Ft Worth (considered one of the "best") is AWFUL.

Trust me, DFW region is one of the worst places I've ever driven in for decent courtesy, following basic road rules, and driver awareness of what's going on. That's in comparison with Paris, Seoul, NYC, and even Rome! I HATE IT! I won't even mention how poorly marked road signs & directions are to get from one location to another (shudder). I'm not looking forward to driving the Metroplex AGAIN in 2 weekends... but better me than dh. Crazy is very contagious for him. Of course, there's going to be those who debate the Seattle-Eastside region too All I know is that when I was there last year, I felt more at ease even though I was in heavy traffic than I am here on a 3 lane highway with only a few vehicles on the road. Sure there were a share of idiots out there, but there were also very polite drivers who understood that because everyone drives fast, there's a special importance for courtesy and manners.

Re: Rudest cities to drive
Yeah, I don't like driving up there either. Norfolk/NN isn't much better for that matter. Richmond & the metro area isn't really that bad, actually.

Re: Rudest cities to drive
I am from Dallas but live just outside of Washington, D.C. I would say that D.C. is AT LEAST 10 times worse than Dallas. Dallas isn't bad at all.

Re: Rudest cities to drive
I've never been to Dallas, so I wouldn't know.

Re: Rudest cities to drive
Here here! I've done quite a bit of driving in bigger metro areas than HR (is it even considered a metro area? I don't know lol), but the traffic situation here stinks.

Re: Rudest cities to drive
Geez, PA is in the top 5 for both worst road and worst interstates. How positively shocking..
At least we made the top 5 for toughest law enforcement. Amy |
