Error in Marathon Instructions

Transport Canada issued a Consumer Information Notice yesterday.

http://www.tc.gc.ca/roadsafety/child...07c03/menu.htm

Apparently the french instructions for installing the seat in the forward facing mode actually detail the rear facing installation instructions. The french instructions have been printed this way for over 3 years!

Re: Error in Marathon Instructions

Good thing I am in charge of car seats in our house. DH would read the French instructions of course. I should post it note ours just as a reminder in case IL's are left with the manual for some reason.
That is extremely sad as many people will be installing them incorrectly even if they read the manual.

Re: Error in Marathon Instructions

That sucks!!! They should be ashamed! They are an INTERNATIONAL company, and man are they lucky that they caught it when they did. They should be sending out new manuals to every registered seat owner! This is insane! I have a MA, and I have never heard of this, and i wouldn't have heard of this if I didn't read it here. How many francophones are driving around there oblivious to this fact, thinking that the seat is installed correctly because they read the manual! I am shocked that this is from Britax, they are supossed to be the best!
