Chicco Keyfit handle question

I did a search before posting, but didn't find the answer to my question. :)

It is my understanding that while in the car the Keyfit handle can be left in any one of the three locked positions. Is there any position that is generally considered better/safer than the others, or does it truly not matter?

From a safety perspective it truly doesn't matter. From a fit perspective, often having it upright makes it fit better.

Some engineers and techs feel that having the handle all the way up on a car seat when allowed provides rebound protection and is therefore safest. (For instance the Graco engineers have shared this, and for this reason Combi requires the handle be up on their car seats.)
