Can I see pics of "upright" RF Radians?

Here's my radians in my subaru impreza. They are currently sitting about 32 degrees in this picture. They can go as upright as 30 degrees as reclined as 45 degrees, I do believe.

How upright they can go depends on your vehicle and how good you are at working with them. The greater the slant to your vehicle seat (you want it more like this|/ and less like this |_ ) the easier it will be

THey can go as upright as you can get them;) The problem is that the design makes it so you usually cannot get them more upright unless you have very sloped or very squishy seats. My captains' chairs in my van are squishy enough at the back, and I can use the vehicle seat back to keep the radian and its boot out of the seat bight.

Pretty good upright install.

This is before I played with it, and found the spot in the seat where I can get the most "squish".

Are Radians aloud to touch the front seats? I know some seats dont allow it, and some even allow bracing.

It depends on the vehicle. The radian itself allows touching and bracing. My car for example is a 2006 subaru impreza wrx and has advanced front airbags. In my vehicle manual it specifically refers to any touching or projectiles touching or under the passenger seat, it does not say anything about the drivers seat. So my radian on my drivers side is touching but not bracing and the radian on the passenger side is not touching at all in case a passenger sits there.

Ill have to check on that in our car. I know there are no side airbags, just the front two (1997). Thanks:thumbsup:

These are in my 2004 Explorer. In order to get them this upright I have to brace (I do not have advanced air bags).

Here's one with DS in it:

And one without him:

I was just scrolling through quickly and these dolls totally made me jump, lol. I thought they were actual babies for a split second. :p

I came out to my car, after finishing a car seat clinic, and this is what I found.

Several people have made comments about bracing the Radian to make it more upright. I just want to clarify that the front passenger/drivers seat really should not be used to affect the angle of the child restraint. i.e., if you move the front vehicle seat (make it more upright or slide it forward), the child restraint should not move significantly.

Oh, and just to illustrate how vastly differently this seat fits in different vehicles, here's a pic of a Radian in each of my vehicles.

This is our 2003 Ford Focus wagon. The vehicle seats are very compressible (i.e. squishy :p), so it's very easy to get the seat upright. I could probably get it more upright than this if needed, but DH and I are short and don't need any more legroom than this.

This is our 1998 Ford Escort sedan. This is literally as upright as I can possibly get it. (Even when I had several tech friends from this board helping me, we couldn't wrestle it more upright than that.) I really can't use the Radian RF in this car if I have to have anyone else in the front, because it requires the front passenger seat to be all the way forward and bolt upright.
