Re: Does anyone

I learned in my tech class that Oregon has a bill in the works right now to increase the booster law to 4'9", and a few other changes to the child restraint laws (requiring kids 12 and under to ride in the backseat when a backseat is available; requiring babies 12 months old/20 pounds or less to ride rear-facing; eliminating the exemption that allows drivers to transport more passengers than seating positions).

So Oregon is one of those states that has new laws pending...not sure how far it's gone, though.

Re: Does anyone

I found this:

http://www.safetyangel.com/boosterMap.shtml

Dont know how current it is but it does have pending laws on it.

And I found this nifty chart which says it is current as of February 2007, but no pending laws. It does note which state have the "appropriate use" clause though.

I also remember seeing one similar to what you are saying but I couldnt find it.

ETA: Sorry finding all sorts of goodies.
this one too: http://www.safertransport.com/boosterLegislation.shtml

They seem to keep it updated the best although there may still be some changes in the works -- they do accept detailed email notifications, though....

Michigan is working on Senate bill 82 right now for 8yr/4'9"
Once it is through the senate the governor will sign it.

Re: Does anyone

California had a Bill that passed both the house and senate. Unfortunately, Governor Schwarzenegger veoted it. The Bill was AB 2108 and was pretty well written.
