It keeps asking me to shorten my post I am trying to type. Says it is too long(88 characters) and needs to be 85. So I took out a whole paragraph and it still says that. Any help

It's the TITLE of the post you're replying to that's too long--you have to edit the title itself in your reply. It confused me a bit, too!

I increased the maximum title length a bit so that should reduce the number of problems. Thanks for the input!

I always do quick reply, too, but when I noticed this problem happening I started doing the regular "post reply" and editing a few characters out of the title.

Good to know the title length maximum has been upped a bit.
