98 Dodge Dakota Ext. Cab

We have a 1998 Dodge Dakota Extended Cab. This is our only vehicle for the time. We received the Evenflo Aura travel system as a gift, so this is the carseat that we have. Can this be safely installed on the bench seat with or without the base?
