Swap A 4Runner Benchseat?
Can this be done safely? We have a '95 4Runner with a pleather back bench seat. It is so hard to install seats on the squishy pleatherness. We have been offered other bench seats from friends with 4Runners and there is a few cloth benches of the same year in the scrap yards nearby. One bench offered had LATCH included (supposedly - DH was offered this bench by a friend with no children.) I thought all vehicles had LATCH attached from the frame, not the bench, except for minivan benches. Is it possible we could get a bench with LATCH? We can do the research for compatibility, DH is a mechanic and has a Toyota forum (similar to this carseat forum) to find that out from. I just want to know if it would be considered safe or not from a Tech's view. Thanks!
