Question Britax Romer Kid II booster seat?

We're visiting Germany (from the US) in a few weeks. A friend in Germany has access to a Britax/Romer Kid II (http://www.britax-roemer.de/auto-kindersitze/auto-kindersitze/kid-ii) that is in good shape and has never been in a crash that we can borrow. She said it does not have Isofix. What is the Kid II like? Will it fit in our rental car (that means we have no idea what the car will be)? Does it have a good seatbelt fit for smaller/younger kids?

Thanks for any feedback! I searched the forums, but couldn't find any mention of the Kid II just the Fix versions so I just don't know...

P.S. DD is 5.5 yrs old, and about 43" (109 cm) and 43 lb (19.5 lb). She's FF harnessed at home, although she did ride in a basic Turbobooster HBB last week at my sister's. My plan has been to take our new Graco Turbobooster with Affix and Safety Surround (http://www.gracobaby.com/products/p...fety-surround-and-latch-system-stargazer.aspx) -- seat as a carry on and back packed in a suitcase. (I don't know if we'd be using the Affix option on our booster in Germany - any tips on that would also be appreciated!!!) I know technically the US seat isn't legal, but I've decided I'm not going to worry about that with this HBB. (And we can't take her current harnessed seat for various reasons, so we have to go the HBB route.

The Britax seat is a nice and common HBB in Europe which will work fine. There is usually good belt fit across the chest for kids 100 cm and taller.

Safety will be as good or better compared to keeping your child in a harnessed seat. If you only will be doing shorter drives around town when your child isn't asleep a LBB will provide the same safety.

Enjoy your trip!

We'll be doing lots of long drives (Munich to Fulda to Nuermberg to Berlin and back to Munich). Is this a supportive seat for when she falls asleep? (We'll be driving to Fulda right after we arrive so I expect the jetlag will really kick in.)

Thanks so much!
