Regent in a fully occupied Suburban...enough room for other kids?

My friend is pregnant with baby #6 and drives a suburban---so all the seats will be filled. Her 4yo was in a bpb but she decided she wants him harnessed, so she just bought a Decathlon. He's tall and his shoulders are only an inch from the top harness slot. She'd like to get a Regent for him, but is worried about the size of the seat since other kids will need to be sitting on the row too. He will be in the middle of the back row with the kids on either side of him in backless boosters. What do you think? Would there be room?

If she has the split 60/40 2nd row, it will probably fit just fine on the 40 split section.

I highly doubt it would fit in the middle of the 3rd row...I have a CarGo there and it just fits between the seat belts...can't imagine a Regent fitting there with 2 backless boosters beside it and still being able to buckle/unbuckle. Plus there is tether issues...does she have a tether anchor in that position?

Another option, though expensive, is the original Safeguard seat. It's a couple inches narrower than the Regent and has a 19.5" top harness setting.
