My son is 8 and weighs between 95-100lbs and is between 4'8 and 4'9. I want to try my best to keep him in a full back booster as long as possible. He is currently using a Britax Parkway SGL and he's got big thighs like mom and is becoming uncomfortable. I've taught him his straps go under the arm rests and knows how to properly tighten the belt around himself and that the belt doesnt go across his stomach etc... But now that he has gotten larger it's getting harder for him to fix everything the way it should be because his thighs are squished against the sides. I feel he needs to lose 10-15lbs and he isnt the most active child and I work full time so after school he's with my dad and of course papaw has to get him McDonald's or similar every day! Comes home and eats dinner and then wants to snack, so this really is our fault and seemed to happen so fast! But I'm working on sweet papaw and cut the snacking out and making him be more active at home. Regardless I think he will just have big thighs though, he has my body type.
Any ideas? Or is this seat width wise as good as it gets?
