FF Tether access for 2007 BMW 328 sedan

I'm turning my peg perego convertible carseat FF and I'm having trouble figuring out how to access the rear tether in my 2007 BMW 328. There's some plastic clips on the rear dash where I thought there was tether access, but when I went to install I found nothing. It looks like the anchor points are in the trunk but I need pass through access for the tether. The seats don't fold so the only way I figure is that I've got to open up the access to the trunk somehow. I couldn't find anything in the manual. Before I call the dealer, does anyone have any experience with these cars?

I'm in a bit of a time crunch because the reason I'm flipping FF is that due to height of the driver I can only install RF behind the passenger seat and I had to install an infant seat behind the passenger seat for a baby who's due in 3 weeks and may come early!

Thanks!

Hi, and welcome to car-seat.org. Congrats in advice on the upcoming new addition to your family and nice wheels! I don't have hands-on experience with 3-series models but did a quick check in the BMW section of the LATCH manual which provides details about LATCH and top tether anchor equipped seating positions for various vehicle models. The LATCH manual indicates 2007 BMW 3-series sedans and coupes have factory equipped top tether anchors on their rear filler panel/rear dash shelf immediately behind the back seat, not in the trunk. There are 3 top tether anchors if it's a 3-series sedan and 2 top tether anchors if it's a 3-series coupe model which has two outboard rear seating positions and none in the center. 2007 3-series wagon models have 3 top tether anchors on the floor behind the back seat. Is yours a 328 convertible model? If your 328 is the convertible version, then it does not have any top tether anchors at all according to the LATCH manual because convertible models are exempt from the requirement to have factory equipped top tether anchors (nor does BMW provide a retrofit).
