Fisher Price Voyager

I saw this today at Burlington Coat Factory. I am thinking of getting one but waiting to see what others think of it. I had my 7yo (almost 8) sit in it at the store and the top slot was right at his shoulder level. He is 48inches tall and weights 55lbs. So I can see this seat lasting a while. I have a 2yo that only weights 27lbs. He is in a graco seat now but I have a hard time adjusting the harness, when strapped into the car. I did see the voyager has a guard the doesn't allow the five point harness to get hung up when strapped in. I had a fisher price t shield car seat when my 16yo was a babe, it was my favorite car seat. I am happy to see Fisher price making car seat again.

This seat is actually a more basic version of a Britax Marathon. Britax bought rights to use the Fisher Price name on this seat. We don't have a lot of real life reviews on it, but it should be a pretty great seat for the money!

F.P. Safe Voyage is a stripped down version of the Britax Marathon -- with a smaller budget, it's a great seat choice, especially for harnessing kids past the minimum 40# limit & for it's high harness slots

However, if you have more funds to use towards your carseat purchase, Britax convertibles have the same basic design but with added ease of use features.... Both are good & now that the Safe Voyage exists, I'm debating between it & the Radian for my day care kids -- the Radian is narrower with limits that slightly exceed the Safe Voyage, but installation reviews has been hit or miss (so, I'll try both & take whatever installs safest since they have comparable costs).
