rear facing car seats in a truck

We've just purchased an extended cab truck. We were wondering if we could put a rear facing car seat in the back if the seats are the fold down side ones.

Side facing "Jump Seats" cannot be used with carse

These seats are generally not safe for any passenger, but can be used in a pinch ONLY for adults and kids over 12 who don't need boosters.

If you need to put a rear-facing seat in a truck with only side-facing seats in back, you will have to put in in the passenger seat. Please move the passenger seat all the way back on its track and disable the front airbag. New trucks should have an airbag disable feature.

Please consult the onwer's manual for your truck for more details on the airbag and side-facing jump seats.
