Evenflo Triumph install question

Can you install the Triumph in any of the recline positioning rearfacing? If you don't have it totally reclined is the knob to adjust the strap further from the car seat back? My friend has this carseat installed in her minivan rearfacing, but can't turn the knob, because it is in the seat to far. It is to hard for her to turn. Would reclining the seat less help this? First- Please verify in the manual

I do not have a Triumph Manual handy, so they may indicate some restrictions.

Generally, you do need a full 45 degree recline rear-facing for newborns and infants. Once babies are around 6 months and have some neck strength and head support, they may have less recline.

It is unfortunate that the adjustments on some models do get blocked by the vehicle seat when rear-facing.

It wouldn't hurt to see a local technician. To find one near you, please visit the "Free Carseat Inspection" link under the top banner.

Happy Holidays!

The seat must be fully reclined in the rear facing position

According to page 19 of the manual is states for the installation in the rear facing position:

Infants must always ride facing the rear of the vehicle; the back of the child restraint supports and protects the baby and absorbs crash forces. ADJUST THE CHILD RESTRAINT TO THE FULL RECLINE POSITION. Place the child restraint in your vehicle rear facing.

Hope this helps.
