I haven't, but my boss has a 2010 Camaro, and he says the back seat is so small they don't even like to put the dog back there. I've ridden in it, and I can't imagine getting a car seat back there. Seems like it would be too small front-to-back for RF, and FF, the kid's knees would be practically (if not actually) touching the front vehicle seats. :twocents:

Sure have :) that was a fun car to play with.

I tried:
Old style MA (06 model), fits great RF and FF. For a full RF recline the front seat needed to be pretty far forward.

TFP, works ok at a 35*. I could not get an acceptable instal at any degree less with the headrest on or off. It was a pain to instal with a seat belt due to the width, but LATCH was a little easier. Again the front seat needed to be pretty far forward for RF.

Scenera, was a breeze to install with a seat belt. No go on LATCH RF, of course I have yet to find a car that I can use it RF with LATCH. Mine is slightly older (08). Can get about a 40* incline. FF was great. A bit more room for the front seat passenger.

GN, fits great. I forgot to raise the headrest up to see if it fits. I am betting it would fit.

Frontier 80 was very, very hard to instal. Short belt path was an acceptable instal, I was too frustrated to try the long path. Latch was a pain too, the seat was just so wide I had problems getting my hands back there to connect to the anchors. Forget about using the cup-holders. Also didn't raise this one up all the way, but due to width I'm not sure it would go all the way up.

*a TFP and frontier will fit side by side!

Combi Century infant seat. Fit with the base and even for through the door openings! This has always been the problem my sports cars, good thing we are past that stage lol. This was the older combi.

Key Fit, fits with the base. I didn't latch it in, but seems like it wouldn't be a problem.

A CCO would fit and I am betting the CA will also fit. Havent personally tried them, but going off of the other seats i don't think it would be a problem.

Raiden...nope, won't fit. It's too tall for RF, but does fit very nicely FF, but I just sat it in there.

Sorry that turned into a book! Overall it has be the easiest sports car I have ever installed in, score one for chevy :)

Kelsey, just out of curiosity, how much legroom would a FF child have in the Camaro?

Not much at all. For a smaller FF, like 4-5 years old they would do ok. My 4yo hasn't complained yet. However a leggy 6+ would probably have problems and I think it would not be doable safety wise. Now this is in her GN and TF, the MA allowed for no room FF because of the way the front seats are shaped. The one time she was in the Frontier she had her legs crosses in her seat the whole time, but she does that in any car in that seat.

Kaede's Mom,

I'm an expecting father for the first time. I need to try to fit a rear facing infant seat in the back of this car, could you please decode all of the acronyms you used? I can figure the FF and RF, but the brands and types are a mystery to me!

MA-Britax Marathon
TFP-True Fit Premiere
GN-Graco Nautilus
CCO-Coccoro
CA-Complete Air

All can RF, except the Graco Nautilus.
Hope that helps

I'm guessing that's not at a newborn angle, though, right? Do you think it's possible to get an infant seat in there at the 45-degree angle?

An infant bucket will fit, with the front seat all the way up and unusable. I think a CCO will, again not if you want a front seat passenger.

None of the others I tried will fit under a 35* so not a newborn recline.

Anyone tried boosters? My friend's ex just got a new Camaro and he's shopping for boosters for when he has the kids. I think if I told him what to go buy, he might, but he'd prefer to just use what they already have (Turbo and old-style Parkway.)

Also, in case he completely ignores boosters and goes with "the law" how's the seatbelt fit? I know in my parents' Mustang my kids actually fit pretty well without a booster, though they don't 5-step perfectly.

Well the frontier fit decently, so I am betting the turbo would fit well too. Not sure about the parkway as I've never played with one.

I'm 5'4 and all torso and the belt in the backseat is not that great of a fit. The seats are decently deep, but the belt come out of the top pretty high.

Crissy, are you completely wedded to that car or Chevy? I'm afraid with a big seat back there, the already nearly nonexistent visibility will be cut down dramatically. Might as well cover up all the windows in the back.

I'm not wedded to any of the domestic companies (altho for some reason I'm fond of GM over the others for an unknown reason... altho I'm guessing it's cuz I never lived with a GM while I have with Ford and Chrysler and they annoyed me to some degree). In any case, the Mustang is a far, far superior pony car over the Camaro or Challenger. From a basic car standpoint. Particularly the V6 models. Course, most buyers of pony cars don't exactly look at pony cars objectively.
