Question Stiff Harness

We're expecting a baby in a few weeks and I just pulled our snugride 22 out of storage. When I was replacing the buckle on it (due to a recall), I noticed that the straps were really stiff in the area where the harness & buckles slide. The ends above the shoulders that go through the back of the seat were still soft and flexible, but below the shoulders was noticably different. Is this a problem/concern? (The seat has a manufacture date of 2011 and we've never washed the straps or anything). I just want to make sure it's still safe!

Thanks

I would give Graco a call to discuss to get their take on it. Perhaps a replacement harness would ease your mind :) ...and congratulations!
