Help! I tried your link to carseatdata.org, but they don't list a rear-facing seat for a 91 Acura Integra that's not an infant seat! Does anyone have any other information on additional links, or what seat fits this car well? All the seats we've tried are way too big!

Unfortunately-

I don't have any other links that may help with your specific question.

How old and how heavy is your child?

Many small 2-door coupes and trucks are not friendly to carseats, especially rear-facing convertibles.

The Safety 1st Forerunner and Cosco Touriva come to mind as one seat that tends to fit a lot of vehicles and isn't as big as some other rear-facing. The Britax Roundabout is another that many parents find to work well. Another suggestion is to make sure you have a good return policy, buy a seat to try, then take it to a free checkup event or fitting station. A certified tech may have some tricks on how to get it installed properly and still leave the front seat passengers enough room.

Keep in mind that most rear-facing convertibles can be braced up against the back of the seat in front of them. This may actually improve the safety of the installation. The Century SmartMove is one of the exceptions that may touch, but cant be wedged or braced since it must be free to rotate backward. Also, if your child is beyond 6 months or so, you don't need to recline then 45 degrees. Less recline is actually a bit safer for older babies and toddlers, and also saves some room.

I hope that helps you get started!
