99% of the time, my almost 3-year-old twins ride with me in my Mazda MPV in their Husky/Super Elite seats. But, there are rare occasions where it would be extremely helpful for my hubby to pick them up. Here's the problem...we have two options for vehicles for him to pick them up in...
1. A 198? Isuzu Trooper without locking seat belts.
2. A 2003 Dodge single cab pickup.
I simply cannot afford to go by two more Marathon or Husky seats to be used at most once a month. I know I could use a belt-positioning booster in the outboard seat of the pickup, but what to use in the middle? They are at least 40 pounds, so I can't use a harness seat unless I get a Britax. What other options do I have?
As for the Trooper, without locking seat belts, the belt positioning boosters would not really be safe for them, would they?
Any insight/suggestions are appreciated!
