I hate head slump

I thought with the Graco Headwise that FF head slump wouldn't be an issue. It is :(. DD1 sleeps terrible in it, snores like crazy and wakes up and cries and shifts around, falls back asleep, repeat 5 min later. When she keeps her head up she sleeps fine in it, but that's rare. I need her to sleep in it on the way home in the afternoon. Even at 4 she really needs a nap (I don't think she sleeps well at night). The only thing I can think of is maybe a myride? I don't think there is anything else as reclined for FF.
Yes she's tiny and yes I could still RF her but things just work better FF. And yes I'm never happy with my kids car seats, lol. I thought I'd like the headwise though. I mostly got it for FF but its not working out like I thought it would.

Graco Myride would probably cure the head slump for the cheapest. I've heard good things about the Harmony Defender but I know its hard to find right now.

P.S. You sound a little defensive about the FF, not sure if that's your intent or I'm imagining it as I read your last thread but I just wanted to tell you that if FF works better for you then do it and try not to have any regrets or apologizes about it!

My kids have both had every kind of fancy car seat available and both hung like limp noodles every time they fell asleep in a harness.

Don't beat yourself up about it :)

Yeah its in the more reclined position. I was really surprised when she got head slump in it because its so reclined. I think the headrest pushes her head forward just a bit.

I'm sure this is redundant but have you tried telling her how to put her head when she's going to go to sleep? Sounds crazy but it worked with Matthew in the Radian. HTH!

The only FF seats we don't have head slump in are the FR85 and Recaro Performance Sport. Pioneer and Nautilus were a no-go and are in cars that she only takes short rides in. I know it isn't dangerous, but it bothers me and DD is a cranky pants if she keeps having to shift around.

I moved the headwise to DH's car RF for DD2. And put DD1 in the recaro proride instead. And even though its more upright she doesn't have head slump in it. Which would be awesome except she hates the proride. :/ Lol.
