Need an infant seat recommendation

I'm trying to help my stepsister find an infant seat for her new baby, who was born yesterday. She doesn't have a car currently and this is her first child. She needs something that we can go to the store and grab quickly and cheaply. Her baby is full term but 5-13 and 17", so she's a little bitty girl. I'm hoping for user friendly too. Thank you all in advance!

I used a Graco Snugride for both my babies and I found it very easy to use. They are pretty cheap, readily available and fit most little ones pretty well.

The 22 lb version would likely not be a good fit on such a tiny baby. The Snugride 30/35/40 all fit little babies fairly well.

I just wanted to say that if you buy an infant seaake sure to buy one with the front adjusters.

The urbini petal at Walmart might be a good choice -- I think it has euro routing for the baseless install, which is great if she doesn't have a car and will be taking taxis or getting rides

The Light and Comfy is cheap and at K Mart.
