Question Three Seats Across

Hi there! I need some advice... We have 3 kiddos (almost 8yo, 5yo, and almost 2yo). All three of them sit next to each other in the back of our Honda CRV. We had to find slim-fitting car seats to make that work - all three are Diono Radian, one of them is still rear-facing. It worked great for a while. Now my oldest maxed out of the convertible car seat and needs to use a booster. The good thing is Diono Radian converts to a booster seat. The bad thing is that there is not enough room for him to buckle! What do we do? Are there even slimmer booster seats we can buy? Is there a trick we are missing? Seat belt extender maybe? Or do we have to look for a bigger vehicle? Thank you in advance!

Sorry I didn't mention it right away. My oldest is 69lbs, 4ft 3in (so, he outgrew the convertible car seat by 4 lbs already). My middle is 40 lbs, 3ft 11 in. My youngest, I can't remember, but I could weigh him after he wakes up in the morning if you need to know. The CRV is 2013. Right now, my oldest sits in the middle, middle child - behind the driver, and youngest (rear facing) behind the passenger seat.

How's his shoulder in relation to the shoulder belt guide?

So, we tried a few things, and I *think* we found a solution! Moved the rear-facing seat to the middle, and booster seat behind the passenger seat. That seemed to give my son a bit more room to be able to fasten his seat belt. He certainly is happy to be out of 5-point harness!

I want to post a picture of him, so you could give me feedback, but can't figure out how...
