Question Convertible Car Seat for Tall Kid

Hello,
I'm looking for a convertible car seat for my 6 month old. He's a tall kid so I'm wondering what your recommendation is for a seat that will allow me to have him rear facing for at least 2yrs. I drive a 2013 Honda Accord so there is a decent amount of space in the back seat, but I don't think I want a giant car seat. I'd like a seat high on safety and looking to spend under $250 if possible. I really appreciate the help!!

Hi! There are a lot of great choices. Who else regularly rides in the vehicle and are there any features on a seat that are make or break for you other than how long it lasts? What does he weigh and how tall? Off the top of my head the Graco MySize/Size4Me/Headwise or Contender is usually a great bet and fits well in your car but with more info we can help more. :)

Hi there, thank you for the quick reply! We rarely have anyone else in the back seat and this is our first baby. So while back seat room isn't a huge concern, I don't think I want a mammoth seat either - haha. Our son is currently 16.4lbs and 27in at almost 7mo old. There aren't any make or break features for me, but ease of use and install are ideal. Wouldn't mind a cup holder and those little slots to keep the straps out of the seat ;) I really like your suggestion of the Graco Size4Me. I'm a little worried about some reviews saying the straps are hard to get tight. The other suggestion I've gotten is for the Britax Marathon G4.1. I heard Britax is great for safety but I worry about it being too short. Thank you!

I would also look into the Graco Milestone and the Graco Extend2Fit. The Milestone is a 3 in 1, so it will have a hbb function also. It's a bit more compact than the MySize due to the way the head rest extends. It rear faces to 40 lbs (no height limit) and has approx 18" top harness lots. The Extend2Fit comes in a convertible version ($200) or a 3 in 1 version ($250). Both versions rear face to 50 lbs and have approx 18" top harness slots.

We have two Graco MySizes, and they're great seats too. If I had to make the choice today, I'd buy the convertible version of the Extend2Fit.
