My 3.75 year old is 38 lbs, so I want to switch the installation of his FF Safety First Complete Air 65 from LATCH to a seatbell install. We have a 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX. His seat is currently behind the driver's side. His little brother is RF behind the passenger seat and has to stay in that location because the passenger seat is basically unusable with a RF car seat behind it. The driver's seat must remain usable!
I've tried installing the Safety First Complete Air 65 with all the tricks I can think of: I put the belt through the path, kneel in the seat, pull out the seatbelt to lock and then help it tighten while I'm still in the seat. The problem is that on the four times I've tried, I can't get the seat belt install tight enough to be safe. Are there any other tricks that I should know about? Or am I just out of luck?
Thank you!
