RF recline question

I know that for RF, the angle of recline can't be greater than 45 degrees. But is there a minimum angle that it can be?

Since my wreck I have been driving a rental car (2004 Mitsubishi Gallant) and have just been installing my MA RF with the seatbelt. I decided to use latch today, though, and the recline is almost straight up. Of course I still have the seat in the RF recline position, but the angle created by the installation isn't very much.

I did use the tether to recline it a bit, but its still relatively straight upwards. Is this okay?

Oh and its for a 17 month old, so no breathing/neck issues :)

Thanks!

Dreaming:

See that's what I'm wondering...do I need to add a towel to help with the recline?

I think I remember reading here one time that one of the Techs said that her RF daughter was almost as upright as her FF daughter.

Hmm...

ETA: She rides FF in every other vehicle she's in (her Dad's, Mom's, and Grandma's car) so she's used to being upright. (Just throwing that out there in case it makes a difference).

It can be between 30 and 45 degrees. Since she is 17 months and we don't have to worry about head issues, closer to 30 degrees is safer for her then 45. You can add a towel if you can't get the recline to 30.
