Backless booster recommendations

I haven't been on this site in a while, so I'm not sure what my options are. I need recommendations on a backless booster.

He's 9 (and a half!)
4'6" tall (lap belt is still too high without booster)
70 lbs

He's been riding in a Parkway, but now his bottom slouches so far forward that I'm concerned about his risk of submarining going up. It's not that he's slouching, it's that the seat isn't deep enough for him anymore. I've tried him in some backless boosters, and the fit is MUCH better on him. I tried him in an old Turbo and while the belts were positioned nicely, it seemed a little snug--difficult to get the belt between his hips and the armrests. I've looked into the Clek Olli in the past (like that one because it LATCHes, and belts are positioned well), but would be open to other ideas. So is there anything else I should check into for him? Thanks.

Re: Backless booster recommendations

I have the Olli for DS (approx same size) and it fits him well, I've heard another good option for bigger kids is the Combi Dakota. HTH

Re: Backless booster recommendations

Cleck Olli, Combi Dakota and the Harmony backless at TRU are all good options for an older kid

Re: Backless booster recommendations

Thank you both!

Maedze--How does the leg support compare between those options? And were you saying that all three of those were available at TRU? I thought I'd have to order the Olli online. Thanks!

Re: Backless booster recommendations

Er, sorry, badly phrased. Harmony makes a few backless models. The one at Walmart is narrower and smaller, so I was specifying the big one at TRU.

I'm pretty sure they don't carry Clek or Dakota boosters.

Of the three, the Harmony I believe is the deepest and widest, than the Dakota, than the Olli.

I hope you mean across his hips and arm rests. On the turbo, "put the seatbelt in the red". I know it can get confusing since there is a tiny amount of space between the hips and arm rests but the belt goes in front.

Maybe I didn't state that very clearly, but I meant that his hips are wide enough now that his thighs are pushing against the armrests. I understand how to use a booster properly, but thanks for making sure. We see that mistake a lot at seat check events, so I appreciate you checking. Your comment may help other people who read this thread. Thanks.
