I need to pick up an "emergency" no back booster. I was going to get the cosco one for $15 at Walmart, but I think it is a bit on the narrow side. It also is not very padded at all, so it will either be the graco or evenflo, which only cost a few more $$. I like the way the evenflo arm rests flip up, so I am leaning towards that one, unless the Graco backless does the same thing. Does anyone know offhand if the arm rests on the turbo flip up?

Peggy's always saying her 12 yo dd, Morgan, fits great in and loves the High Rise (cosco), though, yeah, the Big Kid is a little wider in the very back (I just whipped out my tape measure, if you want a picture, email me, lol). It's heavier than the Cosco...my 6.5 yo coudn't carry the big kid a block to his friend's house! We do like the flip up armrests. My son, 6.5, 43 pounds, and like 48 inches, seems to love them both equally. (weight limit: 30-100 on the cosco, 40-100 on the backless evenflo). Oh, and I let Bitsy ride in the big kid with the back...she loves it, has lots of growing room (34 pounds, maybe 42 inches). I should reel in the neigborhood boys of all sizes and make them test these out for me, lol.
Either seat is terrific, IMO :)

Ummm...I've only ever tried mine on a captain's chair with long buckle stalks, and in that case, it's really easy to buckle with those arms up...I think it would help they pivot up, but so much depends on other factors, it's a tough call.
