Accident and Carseat

I know you're not supposed to use a carseat after an accident. This happened to a friend of mine - She was stopped in the parking lot and someone backed into her. Does this constitute an accident or is there a certian speed that you need to be going ?

Re: Accident and Carseat

The recommendations is to have the seat replaced after any crash. There is no way to tell if the seat is damaged such as hair line fractures. Most child seat manufactors will tell you that after any crash the warranty is void. I recommend you contact the manufactor and advised them of the situtation. Most likely they will advise you to replace the seat. Its better to be safe then take a chance.
