My girlfriend is looking for the best seat that fits her car and her DH's vehicle as well. I told her I was sure there were links that displayed all the different seats and how they fit in each car. Anyone have such link??? I told her I would ask on this board, as you all helped me when I was searching for a seat.
As well.. side notes.. we are in Ontario Canada. She has a 2002 Chrysler Sebring sedan (4door) and her DH has a 2001 Ford Sportrack (4door).

They both will need seats.. PLEASE help advise.

Thanks so much, as well the database at (Carseat Data website closed - link broken) does NOT list thier cars.

There isn't a database that lists how every seat fits in every car. Such a site would have to have millions of entries!

NHTSA has an ease-of-use list but that is based only on each seat, not how any of them fits in any kind of car.

The best thing to do is take both cars to the store, and start dragging floor models out to the parking lot and playing with them. Most stores will let you do that but you might have to leave your driver's license at the customer service desk or something like that. Kids aren't real tolerant of afternoons spent trying out different seats, so it might be a good idea to leave her home for the first trip.

Once you've played with a couple of seats, you figure out real quickly which features you like and which ones are annoying. :p

Check the Explorer listings for the Husband's car. You might get a few good models to try from there in any case thier best bet is to try them out in person. BRU/TRU, Burlington Coat Factory's Baby Depot and most high-end baby specialty stores will let you do that.

What kind of seat are they looking for (infant, convertible, booster, etc?) Someone might be able to reccomend a few models to try that install easily in most vehicles. Does either vehicle have LATCH? That would make finding a good fit easier.
