Evenflo Vision

I'm thinking of buying this seat as a spare when we go to Europe this spring. The reason I'm interested in it is that it's reasonably cheap, narrow (fits in airplane seats) and has high harness slots.

I was actually looking for a Graco Ultra CarGo (I already own one and like it for the above cited reasons, expect price) but I'm having a hard time finding one here (yes I live in a large Canadian city where everyone sells the Alpha Omega in about a dozen colors, but forget about finding another seat).

Anyway, is the Evenflo Vision any good? And (what I really want to know) does it harness past 40 lbs (the CarGo goes to 48 lbs here).

Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure about the harnessed weight in Canada (sorry), but I have a Vision as a spare seat and it's fine. My almost 6 yr old DS uses it when he goes with my parents and he's never complained about it and they haven't had any trouble using it. He does still have some height left in the harness, but finally passed 40lbs recently so I guess I'll be converting it to a booster for him next time.

Yup, it harnesses past 40 pounds, but only to 47.
I use it for my dayhome kids. The straps are a little twisty, thats my only complaint.
The choice in Canada isn't very good for carseats. Your right, EVERYONE has alpha omegas. Most of the time, with twisty straps and tethered rearfacing here where I live. (city in Alberta)
My boyfriend always makes fun of me for commenting on them. I cringe everytime I see one.
Sears usually carries the ultra cargo too, if your still looking for that one!

Thanks for the replies, I will probably get it for flying, and eventually until DS reaches 47 lbs.

The CarGo at Sears has icky leatherette trim on the sides, not that color and fabric matter that much, but fake leather I can't stand. I think it's the Platinum. I want the regular Ultra CarGo.
