If there is a backseat, I wouldn't put them in the front seat, even if there isn't a law forbidding. Children are safer in the backseat. I don't see a law forbidding it. If you do choose to do it, you need to make sure the airbags are off and the child is still properly restrained in their carseat.

All passengers are at about a 40% higher risk of serious/fatal injury in the front seat compared to the backseat :( The risk gets worse if it's a child in front of an airbag ... the front seat should be a last resort only (moved all the way back, airbag turned off if possible) & if you're child still fits carseat/booster limits - The 5 Step Test - then you could visit your local Child Passenger Safety Technician for free help getting the safest install/position

In my husband's 03 Ford F250 Four Door, there is no way to turn off the airbags. Usually there is only an airbag on/off switch if there is no back seat. (Don't know about your specific make/model).

generally trucks with an on off switch for the airbags dont allow car seats in the rear or dont have them . If your truck cant have the airbags turned off it means the manufacturer wants kids in the rear seat.

Yes, this is true when the back seats flip down or face the inside of the vehicle -- so as long as the vehicle & carseat manuals allow carseats installed in the back & the carseat makes at least 80% contact with the vehicle seat & moves less than 1" at the base then the back seat is best....
