When did Honda put LATCH in the Odyssey?

We are looking at buying a Honda Odyssey in the next year..
I am wondering when did they put LATCH in the Odyssey?

Also how many seats have LATCH?
I have heard alot of vans in the 3rd seat there is no LATCH?

2001. There's only lower LATCH in the middle captain's chairs, top tether in the captain's chairs but only a single top tether anchor in the middle of the third row (you can add two more top anchors in 2001-2004 models). I *think* 2005+ years have LATCH in the center row and one LATCH in the third row (???). 2005 is the only year where there's only one single top tether in the middle of the back and you can't add any more to the back.
Honda LATCH is rated as only good till 40 pounds, and seatbelt installs are SO easy in that car, that it's really not an issue (most of the time in my 2003 Ody, I like the belt better for installs, anyway). Julie thanks for the info!

I have such a hard time installing when not using LATCH.
But I did go to a safety check and learn, so I will need to do the same to learn to get a tight fit with a belt.

On the website it says 2005+ Odysseys are safe.. But what about 1999-2004?

The 1999-2004 Odysseys are very safe, probably one of the safest vehicles over most of that time. They do lack side curtain airbags and stability control, so that might be a consideration.
