Tote N Go portable car seat

My mom saw this is one step ahead catalog and was thinking of it for my 3 1/2 yr old daughter as shse is outgrowing my moms convertible. She doesnt always have her and rides in her car maybe 1x a week. Does anyone know where I can find reviews of this as I am not 100% comfortable w/this idea tho it says it meats all fed safety standards. Any helpp is appreciated.

Travel vests-

While acceptable, my personal preference for my own kids would be to only use these systems in an emergency. It would also be useful for parents in urban areas who don't own a car and frequently use public transportation. It might also be an option for a relative or caregiver who only transports the child infrequently, as in your situation.

The main advantages are low cost, light weight and portability. Those same factors may be disadvantages when it comes to having a nice shell for protection from intrusion, and for other safety features found in conventional carseats. Parents on other forums have also reported that travel vests can be difficult to use.

If you do buy one, make sure you can return it for a refund. If it does not fit your child AND your vehicle well, or that it is hard to use properly, please opt for a conventional carseat instead.

Thanks RE: tote N Go

Thank you for your honest opinion. As it is a new product I cant seem to find a review on it at any website, would you happen to have any links to one that has this product reviewed?

Again thanks for a quick response

Actually it is very similar to an old product...

It used to be called the Cosco Travel Vest. There may be some differences, but it is essentially the same type of product.
