We are planning on keeping our babies RFing for as long as possible.
How do you keep your seats clean with them getting in and out with shoes/winter boots on????

Easiest solution is to pop their shoes off if you've been walking in the mud/snow.
Also, consider taking a towel and draping it along the back of the vehicle seat. If you have removeable head rests, you can screw the towel in place with the head rest.
If you have captian's chairs, take an XL tshirt (cut off the arms) and pull it over the vehicle seat back just like a man's torso. Instant chair condom.

I take off Sofi's shoes or boots if they are snowy or muddy. She climbs over 1 vehicle seat to get to her carseat in the middle. If I'm in a hurry, I'll leave them on and put her in the seat myself.
I have a van with captains chairs, so I put 1 of DH's tshirts over the vehicle seat. Last winter I also used a seat protector that's meant to protect the back of the front seats. It was thick canvas and kept the wetness off the vehicle seatback.

Our seats car seats seat fairly clean but vehicle seats don't. Most people buy a dirt cover (http://www.carseat.se/store.html) (near bottom, sorry can't link directly to item) which is easily installed on top of vehicle seat. It also has practical pockets for small toys, tissue and other stuff. Cheap way to keep car clean and stay sane (of half sane at least):D

I've done it with taking boots/shoes off, and also with using a plastic seat protector on the vehicle seat back. I actually find the pulling boots off route easier, but that's because squeaking drives me nuts and ds liked to rub the soles of his shoes on the plastic. Just to clarify, when I say plastic seat protector, I'm not referring to the kind that are meant to go under a carseat, but rather to one like this: http://www.toysrus.ca/product/index.jsp?productId=3640848&cp=2582967.2582974.2582974&parentPage=family or this: http://www.toysrus.ca/product/index.jsp?productId=2685770&cp=2582967.2582974.2582974&parentPage=family The one I had was the jolly jumper and I suspect that the first one I linked to wouldn't have the same annoying squeak issue.
I've also heard of people who take pillow cases and snip a hole in them, then slide them over the headrest. This would work in theory, though if there's much snow on the boots, it wouldn't offer any protection against the wetness.
