Per Recaro's site... the Recaro start is now under their "retired" list... sort of a bummer... but I guess it makes sense with the price point...

I'm excited to see if the new como and signo are really different at all.

Looks like they got rid of those ridiculously huge shoulder pads... which is good...

Huh? Oh never mind, you are talking about the new como/signo, not the start.

On the "new" como/signo's ... the older shoulder pads were so puffy... and huge... they always bugged me... looks like the "new and improved" shoulder pads on the como and signo are a bit smaller... more like the britax ones.

I wonder if that means my Starts are worth more now, or less? Anyway, I'm tired of shipping spendy seats everywhere, maybe someone will want my cottony volcano cover(s) and I can just recycle the aluminum? Wonder how long I will use mine, anyway...? Technically no expiration on mine, though I think they said 8 years when someone called and asked once...I think booster headwing technology is getting better every day, I won't mind moving up to something more advanced anyway.
Ramble ramble ramble.... :) (The original headwingless start was my very first booster seat! I researched that thing till my eyes fell out, and that was even before I found the Ivillage carseat board!)

This makes me sad...I so wanted one for DD. Of course I wanted it for when she turns 6 and I am finally ok with her skinny big headed self being FF. I guess now I will have to find something else to lust after for the next 5 years. Either that or start pestering Britax & NHTSA to get the MT ot TW here so she can actually stay RF that long.
...So many soapboxes, so little time...
