Haven't been around for almost a year - how time flies. This site helped me pick out four new carseats after a fender bender last year - the car seats cost more than the repairs, but alas, they are cool seats.
So, I am travelling with my husband and four children (7,5,3,2) to visit my parents in BC. My mom borrowed two Evenflo Big Kid car seats from the neighbour - they bought them new for their grandkids ( however - manufactured in Jan 04 - so 6 mnths shy of expiry if I understand well).
My oldest pair are 44+ inches, and probably 44-46 lbs. The five year old outweighs and stands a bit taller tahn the 7 year old. My daughter (7 years) rides in a backless booster (don't really like it but the only way to have a friend travel with us - lame excuse - I have a Radian and a Frontier not in use). My son is in a Parkway which I love. I also have a spare Graco backless booster (same generation - a few months old).
Do I take the backless booster or just use the Evenflo seats my mom borrowed? Sometimes I think I am too stubborn.
I am taking two Radians for the 'babies' (the 3 and 2 year olds) - they will be harnessed on the plane. I had contemplated taking the Parkway but it is so darn big.
(As another question - with six paid airline tickets, I have more than enough luggage count to take the Parkway - if I was to take it, how the heck do you transport the thing on the plane.)
Thanks
Ann
