Boulevard Installation HELP!!

We are trying to install DD's new Boulevard in our 08 Acadia. The back seat has 2 bucket seats...its being put behind the driver side.

I attempted installation and these are my issues (please see pictures!):

The base on the carseat seems to be WIDER than the distance between the LATCH connections, so the LATCH straps are almost "under" the seat and come up and around the sides - is that OK?
I see the little stickers that say "LATCH strap here" but when I get them there (or as close as they'll go) the strap is tighter on one end and has a little slack on the other.
I'm worried that this all has to do with the angle, although the seat is fully reclined.
DH is going out to reattempt now, but I wanted to get some feedback now. Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks!

Just pull the base of the car seat back (toward the front of the car)a bit so it is in front of the anchors and you should be fine.
