I have a two year-old and am expecting twins this fall. I want to know if it's possible to fit 3 across with two infant (bucket type) seats. I have my toddler's Graco SafeSeat still, and she is currently riding in a Graco Nautilus, which is ridiculously big. I have tried to fit another SafeSeat in there, and it doesn't work. I would like to get another SafeSeat and switch her to a toddler seat that doesn't have such a HUGE footprint. I have a 2007 Honda Accord, and I really can't afford to get another car right now, but I really want the convenience of having the twins in infant buckets so that I don't have to wake them/restrap them to put them into the stroller, etc. Has anyone tried this? Is there a toddler seat that fits 3 across with two infant seats?

a sunshine kids radian would probably be your best bet... theyre very narrow...

That is what popped into my head too. While they are not an inexpensive seat, they are a lot less than a new car.

I agree on the Radian. If you've got to get 2 infant seats and a convertible in that's going to be your best bet. In the long run (or if the 2 bucket's still won't fit) you could go with 3 Radians, they'll fit across most backseats.
An upside to the Radian for your 2 y.o. would be that she would likely be able to rear face again... depending on how tall/heavy she is. This would be much safer for her if she was still within the limits of the seat.
Good Luck!

Hi,
SafeSeats don't always fit tiny babies well. With the babies being twins they could be on the smaller side, possibly born a few wks early. You may want to consider a more preemie friendly infant seat for the babies. The Chicco KeyFit30 allows for use from 4 lbs, and fits smaller babies like a glove. It's also a narrow seat and tends to work well in 3-across situations. KeyFits and then a Radian for your older child is probably your best all around bet. Keep the Nautilus for down the road, then get an additional Radian .. meaning for now you'd have 2 KeyFits and 1 Radian, and down the road you'd have 1 Nautilus and 2 Radians for the twins.
