what car seat do you recommend, to keep a child rear facing as long as possible?

my friend has this car with a BV and is having problems with her kid RF'ing. Is there a seat that is better for this car?

What kind of problems? The more specific you are, the better answers you'll get. :)

i posted a thread about her kid screaming earlier today. basically thats the problem and im just wondering if there is a seat out there that i may not be thinking of that would maybe give him more room. she seems to think its his legs that may be causing discomfort. i dont know b/c i dont have that car. my 3.5 year old was RF'ing until a month ago and her son is only 2 (next month actually)....but i dont have her car either.

My mom has an Outback (a 2007 or 8, I think) and we've had a Truefit installed, rear-facing in it. The seat seemed to fit just fine, but we didn't do a center install. My ds had plenty of room, rf, the TF.

The britax seats have the least amount of leg room rfing, IMO. In her case, I would get a True Fit.

I do have a Trufit in DH's car and I will switch them out when he gets home. I do have a mirror already but he doesn't seem to like it at all anymore.

I try and pack snacks and drinks for our rides but mostly he just throws them around my car adn makes a mess while screaming:(

I thought about a dvd player but I am really worried about projectiles.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
