My Boulevard has been acting up lately and when I called Britax today they were no help. I tighten the harness on Z and the left side of it stays looser than the right. They are both going through the slot correctly and both attached to the splitter plate. It tightens some, just not as much as the right. This means in order to get the whole harness tight enough on her I have to squish her poor right shoulder.

Britax ran through the routing with me which was all correct. They then recommended that I compare the straps and see if they are the same length, which they are. I don't know what to do now. This seat still has another 2 years on it and Z just can't sit in a booster correctly.

Help?

Odd ... have you taken it all apart and started over again with routing the harness? Look at it from the front and the back, are both straps going in to the cover and coming out the shell at the same points? Are both straps connected properly down by the hip (I can't really explain this one well, but it has to do with how you take the harness out)?

I don't have any advice but wanted to say that I had the exact same issue with my blvd. and I sold it...I don't have any patience though ;)
Good luck!

I had the same problem and so I replaced the entire harness - and voila now it works like a charm (don't know why, but it worked).

I just did all of this while on the phone, and it looks as though the problem is still happening. I will know for sure when I pick Z up from school this afternoon.

Did whoever you sell it to have a fix for it? I would LOVE to sell this seat and get a Nautilus, I just would think no one would buy it if this is an issue.

Yes, the woman who bought the seat from me was aware of the problem (I showed her using my 2y/o) and she was planning on replacing the harness to see if that would work.

Maybe I will find someone who will buy it, then. This gave me hope. Thanks!

Does the velcro to keep the straps out of the way line up correctly on both sides? This would also be an indicater of whether the harness is in correctly at the hip area?

I can try taking a look at it, if you want. I don't have a ton of experience with the Boulevard, but I have pretty good mechanical skills. I might be able to figure it out.

They line up equally well. Neither are perfect, but they are both the same amount lower.

Thanks. I take the straps out and redo them before picking Z up, and see what happens. It seems replacing the straps helped some people, so maybe just removing them and trying again will fix it. I will let you know if it is still acting funny.

Well, it seems to be working fine now. That is so weird that taking the straps out and putting them back in fix it.

Thanks for all the help!
