I emailed someone about the 35lb rear facing weight limits we're seeing on some websites, and have heard back that the only Britax seat in Canada with a 35lb rear facing limit will be the Advocate CS.
I'm not sure if it's true, I hope it's not, but the person who told me is pretty trustworthy, so I'm guessing it is true.

I don't get how these retailers get the wrong information. Are they given incorrect limits or do they just take it off the American site?

Not to mention the confusion about the 50lb limit on the MA CS on babyproofingplus.com that cropped up today...

I'm a bit confused. Are you saying it's BAD that the Advocate will go RF to 35 lbs, or that it's bad that it's the only Britax that will?
I've been the Advocate up at Babies R Us website, but not yet on Britax.ca. I really really hate when the manufacturer puts a product out to retailers before getting the info on their website.

We are disappointed that it is the only Britax seat that will go to 35 lbs (so we have been told).

Ah, that makes sense. And I understand your frustration. I wish we had ones in Canada that went even HIGHER than 35 lbs, but I've already decided that that prospect is unlikely to happen until my kids are expecting kids!

I mentioned this already in another thread you posted in, but there is the possibility of a 40 lb RF seat coming to Canada. Apparently one is being tested. The assumption is that it is the Graco MyRide that just came out in the US, but no one knows for sure. Still a far cry from a cool 55 lb RF Swedish seat, but it will be great to have that option for people who need it.

You are correct I just updated the other thread. I called Britax this morning and the Marathon CS will only have a 30lb RF limit. How frustrating.

According to the TJSKids.com website, the Roundabout 50 is coming July 30th with a 35 pound RF limit? Is this yet another incorrect website?

Yes, this is another example of incorrect info based on what I've been told about which seats will rf to 35lbs in Canada. (the only one being the Advocate CS)
