I have an opportunity to buy yet another stroller
2006 year model - side/by/side Tri-Mode Valco
From what I can gather, the seats sit more upright than the BOB or the BJCMD... is this true???
I love that I can make this a triple stroller and know the weight & fold downfall and sunshade issue... BUT, most important - how is the seat for the kids. I need something more upright.
I'm currently trying to make our BJCMD work for Etta (SN)...and am not giving up yet on this fantastic stroller.
Would love to hear from other baby gear junkies - THANK YOU

I only have a single, but it will sit EXTREMELY upright. My son has never been more comfortable in a stroller. He'd sit in his Valco all day if I'd let him. :p Just curious, what's the sunshade downfall?

I' glad to hear the seat is upright :D thank you!
I heard the 2006 sunshades don't have complete coverage without buying the extra zipper sunshade. Perhaps it's not as big of a deal as some of the reviewers stated?!? I'm going to check out the actual stroller today.
I'm used to the BJCMD sunshades and they are incredible.. I think anything will naturally be a downgrade in reference to them. ;)

I can't remember which year they changed from the zips to the pull, but both sit up very straight. For the Pull one, pull until it is upright and then pull hard some more and it will go up straighter. The zips have clips on the back that will make it more upright too. I've owned three different ones that were different models and I loved them all.

I have a single as well and Max loves it. It will go very upright or pretty well reclined. That thing is a dream to push!

Thank you everyone for your replies!
I bought it yesterday! $375 on CL!
We sold our P&T sport w/doubles and have our BOB utility on CL... I will officially be down to 2 strollers and we have finally have met our stroller nirvana! We have a BJCMD too. BUT, I could see myself packing the Valco Baby in the car for everyday use too... it is really really nice! AND narrow! A bit long... but definitely manageable.
It helps Etta sit perfectly AND, the sundshades rotate down to give full coverage (just have to do undo velcro). I'm not disappointed in them at all!
Now, I'm on the hunt for the toddler jump seat (appears to be on backorder everywhere) and to get the hitchhiker. In August, I take on a daycare kiddo (she will be 6 months old).. with these extra's I can make it to our neighborhood parks in a snap and will basically have a stroller to accomodate FOUR kids.
Perhaps before my BOB sells I could do some picture comparisons between the BOB, Valco twin & BJCMD.
