My 7 year old son has Autism and recently decided he didn't want to stay in the seatbelt correctly so we just got him a Regent but he wont' be in it long. I had asked the insurance company if we could get them to cover the cost of a seat and was told they hadn't ever had a carseat approved for a child with Autism so I took that as a no. Now the rep calls back yesterday and said she thinks she knows how to get a seat we just have to find a local vendor. My question is, other than the Roosevelt, does anyone know of a 5 point harness carseat that is made for a taller, older child? When I call vendors the only seat I can say is a Roosevelt but would like to be educated about all the other options and get some feedback from parents who have gotten other seats.
