I've never sold a Carseat before, and definitly never shipped one.
I'm not quite done with my keyfit, but will be in the next 2-3 months.
How do you figure out the price again? Figure out the price per year (from the new price) and then figure out how much lifespan it has left?
How do you ship them so that they aren't banged around, and how do you package them in the box (and what kind of box do you use if you don't have the original)?

Also, is there any interest in the seat? the DOM is April 4th, 2007 but the base is newer, I can't remember the date on it. It's a 22 not a 30. I don't remember the name of the pattern, notting hill or something like that, maybe I'm remembering all wrong though. You can kind of see it in my avatar.
It used to be Tumblebug's I bought it from her last fall. She was the first and only owner besides me.

Take the price and divide by 5 or 6 years (whatever the lifespan is) and then multiply that by how long it has left.

As for shipping it, just find a box big enough, most places that ship carseats don't have anything in the box to cushion, but if it were me I would find something to put around it, like the packing peanuts or even plastic bags balled up and stuffed around it. It would be enough to cushion it, but not add a lot of weight.

I would be interested in it, depending on what you're asking and if you're getting rid of it by beginning of September (baby will be here end of Sept, very beginning of Oct). I really want on KF since I have little babies, but already have a SS1, I just dislike how the SS1 fits a small baby.

Yeah, I want to sell it end of August/beginning of Sept.
I'm not sure on the price just yet, I'll need to figure out how much shipping would be and I don't know how much a KF22 is worth, do they still sell them so I can find the price? I know it won't be too high though, Tumble gave me a great deal on it when I got it from her!

Oh, and do you think a diaper box would be a strong enough box to use to send it? I have some big ones from when I bought them in Bulk.

I usually package seats in a homemade box, cut to fit exactly around the seat, no big gaps for the seat to shift and get banged up. Customizing the box to fit exactly not only helps prevent the seat from getting banged up, but it lowers your shipping cost, too (at least, going through USPS, they charge partially based on the dimensions of the box). I try to wrap it in a plastic bag, too, if I have one big enough. It's not hard to custom-make a box, it just takes a bit of time. It doesn't have to be pretty, either. :p It just has to do the job. You'll need lots of tape.

I wish that I took pictures of the frankenbox that I sent to MissAllylou with my Mac Quest in. It was hilarious, but it got there is one piece.
