I get my tires rotated every time I get an oil change should I get them balanced then too? I've never noticed any unusual wear on one particular tire or the car pulling to one side.

Thanks!

I usually balance them every season and that has worked well for me

How often do I balance my tires? Every time I get them rotated. Which is never. My car is almost 7 years old, 50K miles, and still has the original rear tires on the rear. I replaced the fronts a few years ago. Next time I need to replace tires, if it's only two tires being replaced, the old ones will go on the rear and new ones on the front.

I DO visually inspect my tires regularly. I don't have any uneven wear from being unbalanced, and if I did start to have some, I would go get them balanced and possibly rotated.

personally?

only when i feel a vibration. why waste the money (unless you have lifetime free balancing, which some tire places offer).

both sets of my tires-- my summer tires and my winter tires, which are mounted on their own set of rims, still have their original sets of balance weights.

generally speaking, if you don't feel any vibration in your car (usually felt through the steering wheel), then your tires are in good balance.

having an unbalanced tire usually does not lead to uneven tire wear-- that is caused by poor alignment, improper air pressure, or lack of tire rotation (swapping front and back tires so all tires spend equal time in front and back-- fronts generally wear faster).
