Wasn't sure where to put this...

I'm hopefully getting a 2000 Ford Escort, just waiting to see if my uncle get the papers on it. (he owns a towing company with a back lot) Anyways, to jazz up my very first car I'd love to pimp my car (can't believe I just said that! lol) with this in the back seat http://www.amazon.com/Auto-Expressions-5051815-Butterfly-Seatcover/dp/B000E3EWUW/ref=pd_sim_auto_4

I have the whole collection wish listed along with organizers and what not. Are seat covers like that a no no when having a child in a car seat? Will it interfere with the installation? or will I be okay with these?

I posted about car seat covers a little while back in a thread of another topic. So I'd like to issue my warning here. I was in a side impact crash back in October. I had sheepskin car seat covers on the front seats, which also had seat mounted airbags. I told the makers that the covers MUST NOT interfere with the airbags. They said they would not and did a modification to allow the cover to be torn away by the airbag. But it wasn't torn away. I hit my head and passed out...with my baby in the car. If an angel had not stopped to wake me up, I might not have. My baby would have been ripped away from me and taken with someone she did not know to someplace she did not know as her MomE was rushed away to the trauma unit. It was traumatic enough for her being in the accident.... I still suffer from brain damage (short term memory issues, organization problems, can't remember words and sometimes use strange ones). Had I been looking fractionally in a different direction, I would have been in a much worse situation.... It scares me to think of it. As it is, I'm not the same and most likely never will be.

So when it comes to car seat covers I stay far, far away.

If there is no in seat air bags are they okay? For the back seat, I just want to make sure that a car seat (child restraint) wont slip about on the car seat cover (vehicle seat cover)
