So, How much could I sell about a 2 year old Marathon for? I've got 2, and I don't really "need" 2.

I've got 2 CowMooFlauge covers, one for it, and one spare. I've actually got 3 covers, one is just currently ON the carseat that I am keeping.

Someone suggested I sell and I could use that money to buy a Regent...

Or Trade... :)

Bascically, I'm looking for a Regent, and I've got a Marathon in Cow plus a cover to go with it. :)

Is that something that could happen? Or should I just hang on?

What would you do?

Thanks!

Erika

Try to sell it locally, that way you don't have to bother with shipping.

I just sold my almost 2yr old MA on CL for $160, and I think Ilana sold one at the same price to the same person. lol

Are you interested in selling one of the cowmoo covers? Let me know how much, I may be interested. :)

Right now Amazon has Cowmoo MAs for $199.99 with free shipping and no tax. I would say $134 would be a fair price. (6 year life span @ $33.33 per year, your MA is 2 years old so 4 more years of use is $134.00)

I would rather keep it or wait until it wasn't on sale and list it. People should always do the research before they buy something from CL. I am not doing it for them. lol

I agree. I would also start high, craigslist is full of low ballers.

I listed for $150. :) Plus $25 for the extra cover. We'll see what happens!

Would you sell the extra cover here for $25? I would be interested if the PP passes.

Possibly. :) I've always known that they would go quick. :) :)

Too funny. Already got a $75 offer. Not bad, I would rather keep it for $75, however. :)

An offer for the seat?

You need to put it in bold and all caps. "NO LOW BALLING" :p

Oh, and I sent you a PM. ;)

So? That really stops people from doing it? If folk feel that $75 is a fair price, then "No Low Balling" won't stop them sending in the fair price offer they feel they have.

Frankly, all caps demands like that prevents me from emailing a seller even with a full price offer.

I feel the same way...when people put something like that, I usually assume it's not someone I'd like to work with (and I'm not a low-baller type) and pass on the item. As a seller, however, I'd mark the item up about 15% more than you'd want to get (about $20 on the MA) and definitely put pics.:twocents:

Actually, it has stopped people from low balling with items I sell. I also put "No flakes" at the end of my ad. Guess what? I have had no flakes. People who email are actually really interested in the item.

She listed it at $160, offering $75 IS low balling. That's less than half of what she is asking for it. Don't waste a sellers time with offers that are ridiculous.

Putting no low ball offers (or heck no offers at all) hasn't worked for me! I listed a practically brand new Frontier on CL - for more than I could probably get for it, but I don't *need* to sell it - just thought I'd put it out there in case and I had someone offer me $125. She thought that was a "fair price for a 'used' car seat". (shaking my head).

I'd lvoe a cowmoo MA, but I CAN NOT buy any more car seats! :(

Personally I wouldn't offer That low of a price for the Frontier, but I think it's horrible the way You Guys talk about People on CL. Have You ever stopped to think maybe Their just trying to get a good safe seat for Their Kid? Maybe They don't have a bunch of money to throw around buying 12 car seats to sit in Their living room. Maybe They are just trying to keep Their Kid safe and in a 5 point Harness for as long as possible but need to pay the rent and put food on the table to!

The problem is, most likely you will not find a good safe seat on Craigslist. You will find a seat you mistakenly think is safe, and thus stop looking for something else.

But if it is expired, missing pieces, has been in an accident, has been cleaned improperly, etc. It's just not safe. That is why it is NOT recommended to buy a seat off Craigslist.

What people here are trying to do is get seats off Craigslist that are unsafe and we don't want anyone using and thinking their kid is safe, when they aren't.
