I've officially decided on the P3 and now I'm trying to select which one. I really love the Moka (http://www.albeebaby.com/peg-perego-2009-pliko-p3-in-moka.html), it will match both our cars and I can get the matching Moka 30/30 infant seat. Problem is though that it is quite expensive even though it's a 2008 ($299 for the stroller, $275 for the seat). Albee Baby has a 2006 p3 in Newport (http://www.albeebaby.com/pegpe20plp3c1.html)for only $189, which is a steal in comparison. I don't know about the navy plaid though. I do like that is comes with a boot and raincover, and this seems to be the only P3 that does.

So anyway, WDYT of the newport. Worth the savings or just too dated looking? Also, is the 2006 model any different from more recent ones?

I too just bought the P3 from Albeebaby.com, a 2008 model, in Surf, LOVE it!!! I'm not sure what all the differences were either, besides the cupholder, but, I do know that I love the fabric so much and the stroller itself is awesome! My 3 year old loves the kiddie board and does so well on it. My 15 month has tons of growing room, super tall handles (adjustable) and the canopy is wonderful. The surf pattern $249.00, not quite the $299 for the Moka. I too saw the Newport, but I have had enough blue and plaid over the years to last me a lifetime.:)

I do remember seeing the Rubino fabric, a 2006 I think for 199.00 too and that one looked nice without looking outdated. I really considered it, but figured if I was going to spend that much on a stroller, it was going to be a color I love...orange!

Found it:

I'm not sure if you could find a seat to match tho'.

One thing about the Newport car seat, I wonder what the DOM would be if the fabric is from 2006??? Just thinking....

Ebay has a Moka for $249 with free shipping. I've seen replacement covers/canopies on there recently too.http://cgi.ebay.com/Peg-Perego-2008-Pliko-P3-Stroller-In-Moka-Brand-New_W0QQitemZ390053632027QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_Def aultDomain_0?hash=item5ad102181b&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C 240%3A1318%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

FYI: One thing I learned (from this site) when shopping for my stroller was to be leary of the ebay seller MAXOTY b/c they remove all serial #'s making the warranty void, supposedly they have their own warrenty but, I didn't want to deal with that and I was also thinking about resale.

without serial numbers, its also not possible to check if something is genuine. strollers can have imitations too..... anyway I won't buy something that is suppose to have serial number to be missing the serial number. :twocents:

I also forgot to add that the site babydealz.com also removes the serial #'s (voiding the manufacturers) and has their own warranty. I actually spoke to them and the customer servicer rep. told me that herself. I personally would not buy from them.

THis is because the ebay seller maxoty, and babydealz, are one in the same;)
